Annah Nkyalu

A figurative visual artist and social activist. Her art journey started at a young age but it was not till in 2019 after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, when her skills improved that she decided to pursue art as her career. She is now a full-time artist living and working in Dar es salaam having a shared studio at Nafasi Art Space.

I would like to draw anything that is worth the attention, I believe in the power of art especially using a ballpoint pen, a tool normally used for writing. When I draw, I see myself making a miracle, creating messages of change by layers of pen strokes and dots.

Annah has exhibited in and out of Tanzania in different group shows and MY BLUE EYES marks a new beginning for her, as it is her first solo exhibition.
