Faraja Mwikongi

Faraja Mwikongi is a Tanzanian visual artist from Dar es salaam and Tabora. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and is a self-taught artist and educator, having started drawing in her youth, inspired by her brother. Since 2018, Faraja has been deeply committed to her art, specializing in acrylics, pencils, and oils. Her work centers on portraits, realism, and abstract realism, often portraying the everyday lives of women and children, with a focus on themes of joy, peace, love, and responsibility.
