This painting marks my first fully, scripturally inspired piece, one of many to come. Starting with the Eagle, the Word uses imagery of eagles as symbols of strength, resilience, terror and power. Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

The eagle is a formidable predator, very precise in its actions thanks to it incredibly good eyesight. As a Child of the Most High (Yahweh), learning how to see as God desires, from Up, with Him in Heavenly places, is a lesson I am learning daily.

At the bottom of the painting there are some symbols, no, not stars, not the English alphabet, but 2 pictograph symbols from ancient Hebrew, the Alef Tav. These two letters are the "first and the last," the "beginning and the end" and the "Aleph and the Tav". You may know the translation: "the alpha and the omega," the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, in the book of Revelation.

When Jesus said, "I am the Aleph and the Tav," He was saying I am the Word, (or logos, written Word) that was in the beginning. In the first line of the Torah, in the first line of the first verse in Genesis, He was there with God! He was in the beginning and all things were created through Him.

The Alef Tav can be translated to "Strength of the covenant " with Alef being the symbol of a bull's head and Tav like that of a Cross. In essence, Yeshua is the core of God's covenant with us through the sacrifice at the cross on Calvary. He is the Strength of the Covenant, The New Covenant, the First, the Last and everything in between.
