Chrispus Nyaanga

Chrispus Nyaanga born 2001 is a painter, cartoonist and photographer. He had a strong start in his artistic career as a pet portrait artist in Mukuru art collective. He does impressionism and his focus is on architecture and figurative art inspired by the sub urban landscapes of Nairobi showing the slum.

He has done artworks with acrylics, oils, pastels, cassette tapes and collage to Imbues his works with depth and emotion.

His works depict the colorful scenes which show the daily activities and struggles of the slum dwellers. He secured a slot at the Kenya arts diary and in possession of a certificate in cartooning. He has been part of a residence project at St Andrew's Turi. He has conducted a solo exhibition at Mombasa art gallery and solo feature at Ardhi gallery also exhibited and sold internationally at Akka project, Italy, Nord Rhein- Westfalen, Germany, open studio, USA, locally at National Museum of Kenya, international school of Kenya, Mombasa art gallery, Mukuru art collective, banana hill art gallery.
